Description: Yin Jun was born in 1974 in Sichuan Province. He is an "alternative" artist, although without any formal art education, has been creating imaginative oils for more than two years. His work has been both criticized and admired. When criticized his work is said to be irregular and cartoonist. But clearly he is in a determined exploratory stage, similarly to that encountered and experienced by many talented Dutch artists of other past generations. He received his early art inspirations from his family. He says he is often guided by his elder brother and has been touched and influenced by the work of other artists. Yin Jun admits he endeavors to paint the world he understands and obviously pursues his own distinctive artistic language.
